We help students to prepare for a range of examinations. Students can use their exam results to gain entry into further study, to improve their employment prospects, or for their own personal satisfaction.
Examination Preparation Classes offered are:
- IELTS General Training
- IELTS Academic
- Cambridge Examinations - FCE
- TOEIC - We are an authorised TOEIC testing centre, you can take the test here at school.
We have two start dates per year for Academic Preparation courses, one in early April and another in early September.
The course start dates for 2007 are 19 March and 17 September. Students can also apply to take the IELTS examination all year round.
Each course lasts for 12 weeks. Students who wish to enter the exam classes must first sit a pre-test to determine their level. If their level is not up to Academic Preparation standard students are able to take a Pre-Academic Preparation course in General English. The length of this course depends on each student's level, but we recommend a minimum of 12 weeks of study at this level, before entering an exam class.A minimum of 4 enrolments must be received for an exam class to go ahead.
Students will study the structure and functions of English language, in preparation for the Listening, Reading, Academic Writing and Speaking tests. Practice Tests will be given at regular intervals so that students can measure their progress on the relevant scale.
