Mount Maunganui Town
Mount Maunganui is a town of about 30,000 people. It is part of the City of Tauranga, which has a population of around 100,000. It is on the coast of the North Island of New Zealand.
The town is a popular tourist resort, and the feeling is friendly and relaxed. The weather in Mount Maunganui is warm in summer and cool in winter.
Mount Maunganui has a long, white beautiful beach and safe harbours.
Activities
Mount Maunganui has all the facilities of a big city. Water sports, team sports, restaurants, movies, cafes and bars...everything is here!
Many activities are available, you can enjoy surfing, sailing, fishing, horse riding, skydiving, jet-boating, scuba diving, restaurants as well as sightseeing trips to famous spots like Waitomo Caves.
Skiing is about 3 hours by car, white water rafting about 20 minutes. You can also try sports such as rugby, soccer, tennis and basket ball, take a hike and of course go to the beach! We can also organise activity courses, so you can study English and learn a new sport.
