Homestay
We arrange board (homestay) for students with local families. These families all enjoy meeting students from other countries. They are also happy to help them with their studies and other interests while they are in New Zealand.
We try to match students with a suitable homestay, according to their interests. The families are all personally known to school staff, and homes are of a good standard.
Some homes are within walking distance from school, others a short bicycle or bus ride away. The town is very flat and traffic is light so cycling is easy. Bicycles can be rented, about $25 per month, or bought, about $250. The bus fare is $2.80 per day (return ticket) with your student I.D. card.
We can also arrange a weekend farmstay. The farmstay fee includes transport to and from the city, 2 nights accommodation and all meals.
Student Hostel
Students can also stay at a hostel within walking distance of the school. The hostel is clean safe and secure. Private single rooms are available with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities, a spacious lounge and wireless internet access. We can book the hostel for you.
